Emanuele Gori

Blogger · FOSS advocate · self-hosting

I write about digital freedom, free software and self-hosting on my blog, Homelab Notes. Linux every day: Ubuntu on the desktop, Debian on the servers. Whenever there's a free, decentralized or ethical alternative, I give it a try and, when I can, I host it on my own servers.

What I enjoy most is building open source WordPress plugins that respect the privacy of the people visiting a site. This is my self-hosted Forgejo: their code lives here, along with my other projects.

Projects

WordPress plugins, open source and privacy-first, with no trackers and no profiling:

eg-repo-card: an always up-to-date card for a repository on GitHub, Codeberg, Forgejo or Gitea. On WordPress.org
eg-social-timeline: one timeline from Mastodon and the fediverse, Bluesky, ListenBrainz and RSS feeds. On WordPress.org
eg-forgejo-updater: automatic updates for plugins hosted on Forgejo
eg-contact-form: a contact form with no cookies and no external services
eg-sharebar-fedi and eg-fediverso-box: sharing and following from the fediverse

Other

contact-page-static: my contact page, just HTML and CSS
guida-git-https and guida-sintassi-markdown-italiano: guides for Italian readers

All my plugins on WordPress.org
